Living History Presentations

Famous characters from the past make history come alive in entertaining and educational portrayals of some of history’s great leaders. Performers engage students in discussion about how significant events in their eras had an impact on race relations in the 21st century.

Characters include:

Frederick Douglass
W.E.B. DuBois
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Thurgood Marshall
Harriet Tubman

These living history programs are available without charge for school assemblies in middle and high schools.  They are also available for evening events for students, faculty, parents, and community.

Living History Presentations are part of the Maryland Humanities Council Speakers Bureau.  For information and the online application form, click here.
