Dr. Howard Ernst exposes your inner Jefferson or Hobbes in this interactive lecture, illustrating how an individual's public policy preferences reflect his/her core beliefs regarding human nature. He then leads the audience to consider the function of government in a free and open society. Adult audiences.


Howard Ernst is Assistant Professor at the United States Naval Academy where he teaches Introduction to American Government, State and Local Government, Environmental Politics, and Political Science Research Methods. He earned his Ph.D. in American Government at the University of Virginia, his M.A. in Political Science at The American University, and his B.A. in American Government at Lehigh University.
