What to Read in 2009?

One Maryland One Book 2008 was a smashing success! Over 120 programs and book discussions were held in 23 of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions during August, September, and October. People were reading and talking about A Hope in the Unseen from Worcester to Allegany, St. Mary’s to Cecil. (If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, we encourage you to pick up a copy!)

Hundreds came to hear Ron Suskind and Cedric Jennings speak at seven locations around the state. Cedric’s story of triumph touched so many. We hope you found the experience enriching.

What’s Next?

Our committee is in the process of reviewing books to make the selection for 2009. Thanks to everyone for all the great suggestions. We will select the next title this winter and will share that information here on the website as soon as it’s available. One Maryland One Book programs for 2009 will take place in the fall.
