Maryland History Day brings history to life!

For Students

Maryland History Day transforms learning about history for middle and high schoolers. Students:

  • choose their own topic
  • dig deeply into research sources
  • work individually or in small groups
  • choose their own format
    • Research papers
    • Exhibits
    • Performances
    • Documentaries
    • Websites
  • compete at local, state, and national contests
  • Prizes are awarded
  • Their work can be showcased at local museums, libraries, schools, etc.
  • Over 12,000 competed in 2007
