Between Fences Speakers Bureau

New Speakers Bureau programs explore whether or not "good fences make good neighbors."

We invite you to take a closer look at fences in our neighborhoods, countryside and urban landscapes as well as those in our minds and within society.

MHC has assembled an array of Speakers Bureau programs that offer new ways to look at fences. Designed to accompany the traveling Smithsonian exhibition Between Fences, these programs will be available from 2010 to 2011. Invite these speakers to your town; they are sure to engage audiences, create conversations and inspire community members to come together across borders and backyard fences for great discussions.

Join us and cross the crabgrass frontier, walk the Mason-Dixon line, drive the interstate highway system, explore state and national parks, reflect on racial divides, discuss immigration, get the dirt on sustainable agriculture, or maybe be inspired to write a story or poem.
