The Baltimore Book Festival is This Weekend!
And if you commute through Mt. Vernon, you’ve surely noticed the big white tents around the George Washington monument. The Baltimore Book festival is in its 15th year and, like always, there will be books, authors, music, festival food and the Storybook Parade!
It’s all about books, after all! Buy books. Swap books. Pick up free books. Kids books. Cookbooks. How-To books. Baltimore books. New books. Used books. Book, Books, Books!
Listen to authors talk and talk to authors, including Warren St. John, author of MHC’s 2010 One Maryland One Book selection Outcasts United. Or Amy Dickerson, author and panelist on NPR’s news quiz Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me! Or John Shields, Baltimore chef and cookbook author. Or wealth coach Deborah Owens. Or any other of the 225 authors who will be there… www.baltimorebookfestival.com/index.cfm lists hundreds of events and things to do—including the ever-popular Mt. Vernon Literary Tour presented by MHC.
We hope to see you in Mt. Vernon this weekend! Stop by our booth on the south side of the circle and sign up for a chance to win a gift certificate for (what else?) books!
And if you can’t make it to Baltimore, why not visit the National Book Festival in Washington, DC, Sat., Sept. 25. Visit www.loc.gov/bookfest/ for more information.

An fascinating discussion is worth comment. I believe that you must write more on this subject, it may not be a taboo subject but typically people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers

I’ll gear this review to 3 types of viewers: those who appreciate it, those who do not, and those that are undecided. I think I fall in the first group. I appreciate the effort, and the content is pretty good. Just out of curiosity, what are the references for your information? Keep up the good work and remember to help promote book reading for all, especially books for children.
